We are on the bridge connecting the old library buildings and the new annex. In addition to the usual services for visitors, the library also renders services to public libraries in the Panevėžys and Utena counties. We cooperate with 12 libraries operating in the territory determined by the Ministry of Culture, the public libraries of Biržai, Kupiškis, Panevėžys city, Panevėžys district, Pasvalys, Rokiškis, Anykščiai, Ignalina, Molėtai, Visaginas, Utena, and Zarasai. We coordinate the activities of these libraries, conduct research on their activities, and provide methodological assistance.

Besides, we ensure the professional training of library employees, interlibrary loan services, and support the activities of the libraries’ bibliographic, local history, and information centres.

We implement a variety of projects, national programs, and other initiatives with the regional libraries, and organize high-quality collaboration and methodological activities. We help improve the qualifications of librarians and innovations in library activities and expand the spectrum of services.

Furthermore, we improve libraries on topics such as lifelong learning, cultural education organization, digital content dissemination, and information resource management. Such
cooperation not only reinforces the potential of local libraries but also warrants premium services for all residents of the region, providing access to modern knowledge and information in libraries.
