How to find your way through the library’s information resources? Contact the library specialists.
Library staff can advise you on various queries regarding information search and help you to:
- get familiar with the search tools,
- learn to formulate search queries, run search and evaluate the received information,
- get to know library databases, open access resources, library catalogues, and learn to find the necessary information,
- use library services.

Library staff organises specialised trainings on information search:
Internet labyrinths
During these trainings you will get familiar with the tools necessary for information search, learn to formulate search queries, run search and evaluate the received information. You will also receive advise on the websites where you can find trusted and high-quality information. You will learn to search electronic databases of the library.
Requirements for the participants of the trainings: to have the basic skills of computer literacy.
Duration: 6 hours (3 days, 2 hours per day).

Getting familiar with databases
During these trainings you will get familiar with the databases that the library has access to, and learn to run search. You will find out more about the open access materials and see how useful they are.

Learn to use electronic library services. During these trainings you will learn where to find electronic publications, how to read, reserve and evaluate them. You will also learn to use biblioteka.lt portal.

Duration: 1–2 hours.
