This reading room gathers several clubs for meaningful leisure, self-improvement, and communication. The Bitė Book Club brings together readers who enjoy discussing valuable books they have read. Those interested in detective literature discuss in the Detective Amateurs’ Club. Members of the English-speaking club “Let’s talk” communicate in English—they expand their vocabulary and improve skills. The Language Café Club welcomes everyone who prefers to communicate in a chosen foreign language and improve their speaking
skills and meet like-minded persons. Creative and active senior citizens of the city find engaging activities in the Seniors’ Club, gain knowledge about topics of interest, share experiences, and communicate. The club’s idea, brought from the library of the German city of Cologne (Köln), has been successfully vindicated. The knitting club “Visos geros” (All are good) brings together everyone who wants to have a good time by knitting and socializing. Currently, a group of women has gathered here, but men who want to knit are also welcome. The lifestyle club invites people who care about living a high-quality life, taking comprehensive care of themselves, and want to gain knowledge in order to be their own lifestyle guides.
We kindly invite you to get involved in the extensive club activities at the library.
