Librarians attended a meeting organised by the Federation for European Storytelling (FEST) to discuss co-operation possibilities

October 5-6 Panevėžys County Gabrielė Petkevičaitė-Bitė public library’s staff: Director Jurgita Bugailiškienė, Project Manager Kristina Jakubauskaitė-Veršelienė, Head of the Cultural Heritage Research and Digitization Department Greta Kėvelaitienė remotely participated in a meeting with members and partners of the Federation for European Storytelling (FEST).

The participants of the Nordic-Baltic storytelling network meeting discussed the possibilities of co-operation between the institutions organizing storytelling festivals, shared experiences in applying storytelling method, working with different target audiences, discussed long-term guidelines for the network project, etc.

Currently, the library is implementing several projects related to the art of storytelling: “Development of a Model of the Art and Method of Storytelling for Lithuanian Libraries” and “Mastery of Storytelling for Lithuanian Library Audiences”. In order to become a storytelling institution and thus expand the range of its services, knowledge sharing and cooperation with other storytelling institutions is extremely important.
