Meetings with the authors are open and free of charge, they will be broadcasted on the Internet, texts will be published on the Mol\u0117tai Library website, in the literary press and as an e-book.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Activities planned during the project<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ten writers will be living and working in Mol\u0117tai region for a month. The texts will be pushed in various outlets. Meetings with the authors will be organized and broadcasted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Project result<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This project will result in cultural exchange between the visiting authors and the local community of Mol\u0117tai, and a body of published literary work created during this program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Responsible for the project: Aust\u0117ja Jasaitien\u0117, Chief librarian of the Innovation and maintenance department, e-mail <a href=\"mailto:austeja.biblioteka@gmail.com\">austeja.biblioteka@gmail.com<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Partially funded by Lithuanian Council for Culture<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"place-title\">Strengthening families by means of libraries\u2019 cooperation as contribution to socio-economic growth in Ludza municipality, Roki\u0161kis district and J\u0113kabpils City (HOME)<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<div class=\"place-content\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\n<p><strong>Project duration:<\/strong> 2020 07 01 \u2013 2022 06 30<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Partners:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Ludza Municipality (head of the Project)<\/li><li>J\u0113kabpils library<\/li><li>Roki\u0161kis District Municipal Library<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Project presentation<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The objective of the project is to facilitate socio-economic activity of residents of Ludza (Latvia), Roki\u0161kis (Lithuania) and J\u0113kabpils (Latvia) municipalities. The project aims to contribute to the improvement of living conditions in 3 deprived municipalities, which are remote from large development centres, have low birth and high death rates and low level of income. It will be achieved by cooperation between Ludza, Roki\u0161kis and J\u0113kabpils libraries. Libraries offering comfortable and pleasant conditions for families will be a place for socialisation and communication and where people can feel equal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Activities planned during the project<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ludza Town Library, Roki\u0161kis District Municipal Library and J\u0113kabpils City Library will intensify their work with families as small \u201csocieties\u201d in the local society. They will widen the range of age of their visitors and will provide family-friendly conditions in their premises. The libraries will introduce attractive, entertaining and educational Family Time activities, where families can take part and learn something new in various topics. In total, the libraries will organise 114 Family Time activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Two big joint family festivals will be organised in Ludza and Roki\u0161kis with participation of local families with children. In order to learn more how to work with different generations librarians will take part in 3 joint seminars and in a educational visit to libraries in Helsinki, Finland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A gaming platform HOME will be jointly created giving access for anyone to information about Ludza, Roki\u0161kis and J\u0113kabpils in the form of a game.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The libraries will improve their technical equipment: they will purchase laptops, interactive displays, games and toys for children of different age as well as furniture. Ludza and J\u0113kabpils libraries will acquire baby changing stations. Roki\u0161kis library premises will be repaired to ensure more comfortable environment for visitors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Project results<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Improved socio-economic situation of resident families of Ludza (Latvia), Roki\u0161kis (Lithuania) and J\u0113kabpils (Latvia) municipalities. The contribution of the project will also increase the storytelling skills of legends and folk tales in a variety of techniques for different target groups (narrators, both librarians and adults).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Activities are planned during the project<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is planned to establish storytelling study groups in partner organizations, to study various storytelling techniques for different target audiences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Project results<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A network of storytelling study groups in partner organizations will be created, enabling the development and implementation of storytelling techniques in their daily work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Contact information: Vida Sekonien\u0117, Deputy Director, e-mail pavadutoja@ignalinosvb.lt<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The project is funded by the Erasmus+ program<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"place-title\">Reducing socio-cultural exclusion in Ignalina district, based on the Italian experience<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<div class=\"place-content\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\n<p><strong>Project duration: <\/strong><strong>2019 07 01 \u2013 2021 09 30<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Partners:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Ignalina District Municipality<\/li><li>Ignalina Third Century University<\/li><li>JUMP in Erasmus Plus International Trainings<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Project presentation<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The overall goal of the project consortium (library, municipal administration, third century university) is to reduce the socio-cultural exclusion of older people in Ignalina district.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Activities planned during the project<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is planned to get acquainted with the activities of different cultural, local self-government institutions, communities, third century universities in Italy, activating the cooperation of the consortium members in the fields of culture and lifelong learning in Ignalina district. Project focuses on people at age 50 and above, but all readers or interested institutions who would like to recommend a book, contribute with voluntary and creative work can join the activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Activities are planned during the project<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Within two years of the project\u2018s implementation it is planned to create online platform dedicated to the first digital library of book trailers. 500 trailers will be created and uploaded by the Lithuanian and other partner countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Project results<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201eEU-READ&amp;ART\u201d encourages to read and present read books in different perspective than usual \u2013 with short ad videos that express the impression of the book and so motivates others to read it.
