Books are issued from Lending Department in the Central Palace, The Main Reading Room, Arts Reading Room, Region’s Cultural Heritage and Informational Publications Reading Room, Children‘s Literature Department, Juozas Miltinis‘ Heritage Study Centre. Periodicals can be read in the Main Reading Room.

Visitors are allowed to choose books without assistance. Books are issued at permanent book issuing points and using a self-service machine. We recommend pre-ordering books remotely in order to reduce your visit time.

10 books at a time are issued to visitors.

Return of books

Books can be returned in contactless way – to the book return box located at the main entrance on Respublikos Street. You can also leave them in a designated place on a table (shelf) during the Library’s working hours in the Central Palace (Respublikos St. 14) and the Children’s Literature Department (Aukštaičių St. 4).
