Library card

All Lithuanian and foreign countries citizens can become users of the Library.

The Library uses LIBIS (the Lithuanian Integral Library System) Reader's Certificate. It is valid in the majority of Lithuanian public libraries and in Martynas Mažvydas National Library of Lithuania.
In order to become user of the Library, it is necessary:

  • to get the Reader's Certificate at the Library or to order it at the website
  • to have passport or other identification document (students, pupils, the disabled – a corresponding certificate)
  • to fill in registration card
  • to pay 3 Lt fee

Children under 16 are registered when they come with their parents, foster-parents or tutors who fill in the application, or when they present the filled-in application of their parents, foster-parents or tutors.

On registration to the Library for the first time, free Reader's Certificates are given to preschool children, to I-IV form pupils when they present their Pupil's Certificate, to the children from the foster home when they present reference from the foster home, also to the disabled having a corresponding certificate.

Users having LIBIS Reader's Certificates of other libraries, must register at our Library. They do not need to get another certificate or pay for the registration.
